If you take the winter off from camping because it's too cold, then you definitely need one of these portable diesel heaters from Planar!
Unlike propane heaters, which will cause a build up of condensation, this Planar heater produces a dry heat. You'll be toasty warm and dry all night long.
Altitude Compensation
Unlike other heaters, these have an altitude-compensating feature built right into the unit that allows them to operate at higher altitudes. An on-board pressure sensor detects the current altitude and makes adjustments to the fuel pump in order to introduce the right amount of fuel for the conditions.
As a result, at altitudes above 6,500 ft sea level, performance will drop by roughly 5% every 1,640 ft.
For example, at 12,000 ft above sea level the heater output would be reduced by roughly 16.75%. At this altitude, this means a 2kw heater's output would be reduced to 1.6kw and a 4kw heater's output would be reduced to 3.3kw.
PLEASE NOTE:
The power cable supplied with the heater comes with ring terminals by default.
If you don't want ring terminals, you will either need to replace the ring terminals yourself, or buy one of our adapters that can be used to interface with different power sources. These adapters require our custom 20' adapter-ready power cable, seen in the video below.

Great little heater
I ran kerosene as fuel because of elevation. The heater ran well, we experienced 2 nights in the teens and the cab of the jeep stayed toasty. The third night we dipped into the single digits. We kept the cab in the 40s with full heat. I will be changing out the ducting to insulated ducting to see if we can keep it warmer. The 40s was fine for my spouse and I but the dog is not a cuddler and was shivering all night.

I plan on using mine for camping out of my Jeep or keeping me warm in my tent. The quality build of this heater is amazing. I can’t wait to try it!
Very well built heater
I got this for colder weather pop up tent camping and couldn’t be more pleased. Fuel consumption was low, noise was low but it put out an excellent amount of heat to the point I didn’t need a hearty cold weather bag. I think the best part is the inside of the tent remains bone dry. I had to run it from my vehicle chassis battery my first trip while I waited for an adapter and it never had a drained battery either.
